HYDROSTATIC DRIVE SYSTEM
The hydrostatic drive system sources its oil flow from heavy-duty, variable displacement pumps while infinitely variable motors transfer torque to the ground over a wide speed range, ideal for spraying.

Patriot™ sprayers use a parallel Cross-Flow® circuit design.
  • One pump supplies hydraulic oil flow to two drive motors located on opposite corners of the sprayer
  • This circuit design permits flow to the component most in demand, helping propel the sprayer through tough field conditions
Infinitely Variable Full-Time Hydrostatic 4-Wheel Drive

All three powerful Patriot sprayers boast hydrostatic full-time 4-wheel drive with infinitely variable speed control. This design returns the wheel motor swash plates to their maximum angle each time the lever is returned to neutral position. That means maximum torque at every start. Patriot sprayers can travel up to 30 mph (48 kph).

Final drives act as a torque multiplier in transmitting the power from the propel system to the ground, which:

  • Permits efficient use of the pump and motor combination
  • Minimizes heat generation
  • Maximizes service life
