GRAIN CLEANING
All Axial-Flow® combines lead the industry in cleaning system size, grain quality and grain savings, and offer:
  • Cleaning systems that match the capacity of the combine
  • A Cross-Flow® cleaning fan that delivers clean grain samples
  • Exceptional grain quality, ideal for food-grade crops and crops grown for seed
Axial-Flow 20 Series Cross-Flow plus cleaning fan sits underneath the grain pan, where it helps stratify material.

Cross-Flow Cleaning Fan
  • Patented Case IH Cross-Flow® cleaning fan delivers extremely uniform air flow
    • Creates a vortex at its center, resulting in uniform air flow across the entire sieve
    • Ensures a clean sample at high harvest speeds
    • Maximizes grain savings
  • Redesigned fan air inlet shields maintain cleaning fan performance in adverse conditions
A self-leveling cleaning system on Case IH Axial-Flow combines saves grain and increases productivity.
20 Series self-leveling cleaning system
20 Series Self-Leveling Cleaning System
  • Allows entire system (top sieve, bottom sieve and fan) to level itself for optimum cleaning efficiency on hills, flat fields and on end-row turns (it banks on end-row turns)
    • Axial-Flow 7120 levels up to a 14% slope
    • Axial-Flow 8120 levels up to a 12% slope
    • Axial-Flow 9120 levels up to a 12% slope
  • Cleaning system incorporates:
    • Larger-diameter Cross-Flow® plus cleaning fan
    • Active grain pan – levels the crop mat and stratifies grain from chaff before it reaches the sieves
    • Enhanced shake geometry – moves the mat while lifting it higher off the sieves, improving air flow for better capacity and cleaning efficiency, even with high-moisture crops
  • Advanced system saves grain and increases productivity
    • Saves between $4 and $10 per acre, depending on degree of slope
    • Ensures a more uniform mat entering the sieves for improved cleaning efficiency
Case IH Axial-Flow® augers move the crop smoothly through the combine.
88 Series Augers & Sieves
  • Auger bed of five augers delivers crop smoothly to the grain pan and cleaning area
  • Chaffer sieve has three adjustable sections
    • Allows easy fine-tuning for different harvest conditions
    • Eight different sieve combinations let you clean most any crop
    • Front, middle and rear sections adjust independently for better performance
    • Lower and upper sieve sections move in opposite directions for better cleaning
  • Several sieve choices are available for maximum cleaning and grain savings
  • Convenient sieve access door and light allow easy inspection
  • External right-hand sieve adjustment levers are provided for added convenience
  • Optional hillside dividers are available for the top sieve and grain pan to improve operating performance in hilly terrain
In-cab sieve adjust on Axial-Flow 20 Series combines lets you fine tune sieves from the operator's seat.

In-Cab Sieve Adjustment
  • Lets you fine-tune sieves from the operator’s seat
    • Standard on 20 Series combines
    • Optional on 88 Series combines
A Case IH Axial-Flow combine automatic crop settings (ACS) preset rotor and fan speeds, concave clearance and sieve openings.
20 Series shown
Automatic Crop Settings
  • On 88 Series combines the automatic crop settings (ACS) option:
    • Uses the electrically adjusted upper and lower sieves, plus rotor speed, concave position and fan speed to quickly set the combine for each crop harvested
  • On 20 Series Axial-Flow machines, the ACS:
    • Provides presets for up to 10 different machine settings and 80 factory crop presets
    • Enables each crop type to contain multiple user-defined work conditions
    • Can be transferred from machine to machine for fleet operators
The Tri-Sweep tailings processor on the Case IH Axial-Flow 20 Series combines uses three sets of impellors.
20 Series Tri-Sweep Tailings Processor
  • Tri-Sweep™ Tailings Processor uses three sets of impellers to gently re-thresh and elevate the tailings, returning them back to the active grain pan for final cleaning
  • This results in:
    • Higher machine capacity
    • Increased harvest efficiency
    • Improved grain quality
  • 5088, 6088 and 7088 combines are equipped with a tailings elevator
    • 6 x 8 in. (15 x 20 cm) top driven roller chain with rubber flights
