PACKING CHOICES
To improve germination, Case IH offers a wide range of on-row packing choices to match your seeding style, opener and soil conditions.
You can choose from steel, pneumatic or semi-pneumatic packing wheels – each geared to fit specific conditions.
Case IH Flex Hoe air drills are available with in-line gang packaging system.
In-Line Gang Packing Systems
  • Steel V wheels work well in sandy and rocky soil conditions
    • Available in 3.5- or 4.5-in. (8- or 11.4-cm) widths, with the larger size used in 10- and 12-in. (25.4- and 30.5-cm) spacings only
  • Semi-pneumatic rubber press wheels flex to shed build-up in heavy, sticky soils.
    • Flat profile rides over a wider area for less packing pressure in heavier soils
    • Available in widths of 3, 4 or 5.5 in. (7.6, 10.2 or 14 cm).
The Case IH Flex Hoe 700 is available with a walking beam packing system.

  • For the Flex Hoe 700, a walking beam packing system is available to ensure even and adequate packing pressure
  • Thick, flat-faced or rounded pneumatic press wheels offer maximum flex and sustains minimal stubble damage
